ABOUT AMERICAN PERLITE COMPANY

Nestled in the foothills on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountians, American Perlite Company mines and mills crude perlite ore. We are an affiliate of Redco II, a perlite expanding company located in North Hollywood, California. American Perlite is an industrial minerals company engaged in the mining, processing and marketing of perlite. The primary asset of the company is the Fish Springs Perlite Deposit, encompassing several hundred acres and an estimated 52 million tons of perlite. Here a single perlite deposit forms a dome which rises as a conspicuous hill about 200 feet high.

The American Perlite Mill and Fish Springs Perlite Deposit are located in the Owens Valley in California, about 8 miles south of the town of Big Pine. This is approximately half-way between Los Angeles, California and Reno, Nevada. An affiliated trucking company, D Bar S Transportation is available to haul bulk truckloads to your location or to a transload site for rail delivery. Alternatively, you may schedule your own trucking. Rail service via a transload facility can be either on the BNSF Railroad or the Union Pacific.
